Have district residents vote on vouchers

I have been reading everything I can to understand this voucher system, both pros and cons. After all this, I have come to the conclusion that if passed, it would hurt our public school system, and in the long run, raise our taxes.

Can the private schools do a better job of educating? From what I have read of the statistics, no. According to one article, to be eligible for the voucher system in the Milwaukee area, the income requirement is up to $70,000. I don't consider anyone making $70,000 a year to be low income. And, as with anything in this day and age, that $70,000 requirement will go even higher.

My suggestion: Take it out of the budget and let the people in the areas it will pertain to vote on it - not outsiders.
