High Hopes parent workshops at Oshkosh Public Library

It's never too soon to start preparing children to be successful readers and the Oshkosh Public Library is offering workshops that will show parents of babies and toddlers everyday habits that nurture important pre-literacy skills.

"Every parent has high hopes for their child," says Valerie Mattair, Head of Children's & Family Outreach Services at the Oshkosh Public Library. "Becoming a good reader really is essential to a bright future."

The library is offering three Saturday workshops for parents of babies and toddlers: April 13, May 4 and May 25. Sessions run from 1:30 to 3 p.m. and will ...
