Mosinee grad to take helm of her home school district

New superintendent says she wants to reach all students

The next superintendent of the Mosinee School District grew up in the paper mill town hating school.

"I really struggled," said Ann Schultz, 48, a 1983 graduate of Mosinee High School, now principal of Oshkosh West High School. But two Mosinee educators in the late 1970s and early 1980s did not give up on the teen - she was Ann Lechnir then - who was athletic but often found it difficult to make it to class, Schultz said Monday.

Even though she didn't appreciate her classes at the time, as she matured, she came to understand that "I had fabulous teachers," she said. And they led her down the education ...
