The National Weather Service in Green Bay has issued flood warnings, advisories and watches for Marathon County through Thursday afternoon, as it expects strong storms to pass through the area.

The NWS is forecasting 1 to 3 inches of rain through this evening, with rain turning to freezing rain and sleet overnight Tuesday and today. The NWS also is forecasting 2 to 4 inches of snow Thursday into Thursday evening.

Rain and snow melt will increase the risk of flooding this week, particularly in low-lying areas and areas in which rivers already have risen significantly. ...
