Green Bay man, 19, charged in Oneida shooting

A 19-year-old Green Bay man has been charged with shooting another man twice outside a house party last weekend.

Kevin Chavez faces almost 40 years in prison for allegedly using a sawed-off shotgun to shoot Alejandro Silva, 18, in the left forearm and buttocks area after a dispute outside a home about 6:18 a.m. Saturday in the 2800 block of Commissioner Street, according to a criminal complaint filed Tuesday.

Two women took Silva to St. Mary's Hospital in Green Bay, and he was later taken to St. Vincent Hospital for further treatment. He is expected to survive. ...
