A request for a recount in the Pulaski School District referendum has been withdrawn.

Voters approved a question in the April 2 election asking to spend $4.4 million for building maintenance, security measures and energy efficiencies by a total of eight votes.

A resident filed for a recount earlier this week, but withdrew the petition on Wednesday.

The resident indicated someone else might file for a recount. The deadline to file is 5 p.m. Thursday.

The referendum passed by a vote of 3,052 to 3,044.

Three questions asking for funding for new technology, a new high school pool, classroom renovations and other amenities failed.
