Mike Simoens is looking for an ace.

The Bay Port High School baseball coach has been a bit spoiled by some of the top-of-the-rotation pitchers the Pirates have had during their most recent runs to state, but he'll be in search of one when this season starts.

When the team won its first WIAA Division 1 state championship in 2009, it relied on Sean Grabig. When the Pirates repeated the next season, it was A.J. Gaura. ...
