WAUSAU

Shake off the extra-long winter blues at the 40th annual Children's Festival, taking place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the East Gate Hall in Marathon Park. Festivities include woodworking, face-painting, clowns, games, body murals, finger-painting, mini golf and more. All children must be accompanied by and adult. Admission is free.

WESTON

Sample more than 100 craft beers this weekend at Rhythm & Brews, an annual benefit for the Alzheimer's Association held from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday at Dale's Weston Lanes, 5902 Schofield Ave., Weston. In addition to craft beer, hors d'oeurves and specialty desserts will be available to sample. String Cheese will provide live music. Advance tickets are $30 and are available at Dale's Weston Lanes, Crossroads County Market, 220 S. 18th Ave., Wausau, and by calling the Alzheimer's Association at 715-845-7440; tickets at the door are $35.
