For the second time in two years, families in the Wisconsin Rapids School District could get hit with a student lunch price hike of up to 6 percent.

As part of the federal Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010, all school districts participating in the National School Lunch Program must review their lunch prices annually and adjust them based on a federal formula that compares the amount families pay and the amount the U.S. Department of Agriculture reimburses the district, said Julie Marie, Wisconsin Rapids food services director.
