WASHINGTON - Sen. Ron Johnson, who has gained a reputation as one of the most conservative lawmakers in Washington, is among a group of Republican senators who are threatening to prevent the latest gun control legislation from reaching the Senate floor for a vote.

In a letter to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., on Monday, the group vowed to "oppose the motion to proceed to any legislation that will serve as a vehicle for any additional gun restrictions."
