The village president is dismissing Green Bay Mayor Jim Schmitt's proposal for regional government as "municipal colonialism."

Village President Burt McIntyre said he opposes Schmitt's idea of forming a task force on merging municipalities with the idea of streamlining government while creating a larger city.
