Pulaski School District officials will recount ballots after voters narrowly approved spending $4.4 million on building repairs in an April 2 referendum.

The district received a request for the recount today and the process is set to begin 9 a.m. Friday.

Voters approved a question asking to spend the funding for maintenance, security measures and energy efficiencies by a total of eight votes.

A similar request for a recount was withdrawn Wednesday. The referendum passed by a vote of 3,052 to 3,044.

Three questions asking for funding for new technology, a new high school pool, classroom renovations and other amenities failed.
