John Tesh has always been a musician. The world just didn't always know it.

For a decade, he was synonymous with "Entertainment Tonight,'' the celebrity news show he co-anchored from 1986 to 1996. But it has been in the 17 years since signing off from "ET'' that the pop pianist and composer has become better known for a Grammy-nominated music career that includes a series of hit PBS specials, including the iconic "Live at Red Rocks'' in 1994, gold albums and popular tours.
