My husband and I have volunteered at St. John the Evangelist Homeless Shelter for almost eight years.
One day we noticed in our church bulletin that the homeless shelter at St. John's was desperately in need of help and gave us a person to contact. We were put in the time period of 5 to 8 p.m. where we served the meals.
