Bail for Manitowoc man in vehicular homicide case reduced to $15,000 cash

Manitowoc County Circuit Judge Gary Bendix on Wednesday reduced bail for 21-year-old Dylan J. Karnitz of Manitowoc to $15,000 cash.

Karnitz, who has been in jail in lieu of $25,000 cash for more than a month, is accused of driving drunk in a March 3 crash that left two dead and one seriously injured.

Defense Attorney Ralph Sczygelski argued for a signature bond. He said that Karnitz couldn't raise $25,000 and that he is not a flight risk. ...
