Today, there is renewed interest in the practice of grazing cattle. Many areas of Wisconsin have hills and valleys that are not conducive to the production of grain crops but are much better suited to the practice of grazing cattle.

This renewed interest has been due in large part to the practice of managed intensive grazing. Managed intensive grazing is the practice of dividing a pasture into small parcels called paddock and then moving the cattle from paddock to paddock on a frequent basis, many times this will be daily.
