Junction City to see water rates more than double

After going 15 years without a major rate increase, Junction City residents will pay 138 percent more for water in rates authorized Wednesday by the Wisconsin Public Service Commission.

Typical residential customers currently paying $63.95 quarterly for 10,000 gallons of water will pay $152.30 for the same volume when new rates go into effect.

The price includes a $31.80 Public Fire Protection Charge to residents for utility expenses related to firefighting costs. ...
