Seasoned Weston official to take office as Village Board president

Loren White has dedicated his life to serving the Weston community, and soon he will add to his resume the title of Weston Village Board president.

He ran uncontested in the April 2 general election and won with 98 percent of votes. He will take office April 17 and replace Fred Schuster, who has been the Village Board president for five years.

White, 61, was born in Wausau and graduated from Wausau High School in 1970. From there, he studied police science at Northcentral Technical College and was hired as a patrolman with the town of Weston Police Department. He became deputy chief of police in ...
