Significant awards: Academic letter winner three times, cross country letter winner three times, Presidential Scholarship from University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minn., Advanced Placement Scholar Award winner; Honors Banquet Recipient

Hobbies and interests: Learning about history (particularly American history), running, spending time with friends and family, snow skiing, spending time at family cabin in Ironwood, Mich.

Future plans: Attend University of Minnesota, majoring in history and marketing in order to one day become a museum curator

Something you should know: "I had the opportunity to travel to Spain between my sophomore and junior years. To raise funds for the trip I asked friends and family to pledge money for each mile I ran between November and April. I used the money to fund my trip as well as make a donation to the Carbone Cancer Center."
