Children's author visits schools
More than 450 students in third through fifth grades had the opportunity to meet with Peter Roop, a Wisconsin children's author. Roop spent the day visiting Rothschild and Evergreen elementary schools, where he talked about the writing process and the many revisions that are made before a book is published.
Students were amazed to learn that Roop and his wife, Connie, have written more than 100 children's books and have another 80 books in various stages of development. His visit concluded with an evening family program where he shared some of his travel adventures and the artifacts he collected while conducting research for his books.
