Jesus of Nazareth was the rock star of first-century Palestine. Nearly 2,000 years ago, he was the most sought-after personality in what is today Israel and the West Bank. People flocked to him from all over the region. The New Testament gospels tell us huge crowds followed him wherever he went. They loved to listen to him teach and preach, and they marveled at what he said and what he did.

Kings wanted to meet him (Luke 9:9 and Luke 23:8). Religious leaders sent their representatives (Matthew 15:1 and Luke 5:17). Even the Roman governor was curious to know what this man was all about (Mark 15:2-5 ...
