Ken Boettcher, retired Methodist minister, is the guest speaker for the final Egg Harbor Historical Society program of the season. He will show and narrate his slides of "Egg Harbor Past" beginning at 6:30 p.m. April 24 at the Egg Harbor Town Hall.
Ken graduated from Westmar College in LeMars, Iowa, and the Evangelical Theological Seminary in Naperville, Ill. He is a native of Marinette, where he spent his childhood looking across the 16 miles of Green Bay waters to the bluffs of Egg Harbor.
He began his ministry in Egg Harbor and Fish Creek from 1965 through 1969, being transferred elsewhere in Wisconsin and then back to the Sturgeon Bay United Methodist Church in November 1994. He and his wife, Ann, have stayed in Sturgeon Bay since his retirement from the ministry in 2003.
