School District Superintendent Mel Lightner is leaving for a another district shortly after Pulaski voters narrowly approved a referendum to borrow $4.4 million for building repairs and other improvements.

In a letter to the School Board, Lightner said he has accepted the job as superintendent for the Grafton School District in southeastern Wisconsin. He will remain in Pulaski until the end of the school year.

Lightner has served in Pulaski for the past five years. He was district superintendent in Kimberly before. ...
