This week's Boston Marathon bombing will have an impact on the ways such events are run as well as the people who participate in them, but it won't mean fewer participants, according to Cellcom Green Bay Marathon director Sean Ryan. .

"A runner's spirits are stronger than their legs; that's why they do this sport. They're not going to let this deter them from their passion and participating in these events," Ryan said during a phone interview Tuesday.

On Monday, Ryan had been among the Boston Marathon support staff helping shuttle running club members who were participating in the marathon. ...
