Aaron Pokrzywa wanted to pay it forward.

He became a teacher with the hope of influencing students, as his instructors did when he was in school. When he was in college, he worked construction jobs while on breaks and decided to combine his two passions to become a technical education teacher.

The 32-year-old said his priorities are advocating for students who have fallen through the cracks and providing real-world applications for his curriculum.
