A rewrite of more than half of the village of Egg Harbor's long term debt is expected to trim $675,000 in interest payments over the next two decades, village trustees were told last week.
The village is seeking to refinance bonds issued in 2009 to pay for the rebuild of the community's marina and for borrowing last year from the Wisconsin Trust Fund to buy property where a library/community center is planned. The state funds were also earmarked for street repaving and other smaller projects.
