Southern Door beat Sevastopol, 11-1, Monday and Kewaunee, 12-2, Tuesday in its first games of the high school softball season.

"The games were similar in a lot of ways," said Eagles coach Pat Delcore. "We started out right away scoring runs, our pitchers were solid, our defense was solid and the hits were scattered around."

The Eagles scored five runs in the first inning against visiting Sevastopol, highlighted by a pair of two-run singles from LaRae Bagnall and Courtney VanHout. Bagnall finished with two hits. ...
