Southern Door got its high school baseball season off to a good start, even if it didn't get much chance to exercise its bats.

The Eagles took advantage of 13 walks, a hit batter and several wild pitches to beat Kewaunee, 10-0 in five innings, in the opener for both teams Tuesday in Brussels.

Southern Door had only four hits, but coach Dave Neinas said his players might not have been as aggressive at the plate as they normally would have been, given Kewaunee's struggles to throw strikes. Nonetheless, Neinas and his team were happy to get their weather-delayed season started with a win. ...
