Capturing the county's best looks

The visitor bureau is holding a 'Capture Door County' photo contest, with a book planned to show winning entries

There are two ways to help create a book that could be dubbed the best photographs of Door County - cast a vote on what photos belong inside or submit original photographs. Hundreds of people have been doing both since the "Capture Door County" contest was launched in late January by the Door County Visitor Bureau.

Much of the voting is broken down into 35 categories, from "abstract" to "wildlife" and daily and monthly challenges, and the endgame is a 144-page coffee table book of Door County scenes, people and festivals.
