Children, parents create jewelry together in Family Art Day

Families with children of all ages are invited to create jewelry inspired by nature during the monthly Family Art Day held from 9 a.m. to noon April 20 at the Peninsula School of Art. There is no charge to take part.

Drawn from ideas found in the exhibit, "The Nature of Jewelry: Botanical Designs and Symbols," which opens April 19 in the school's Guenzel Gallery, participants will study floral designs and patterns of famed artists Georgia O'Keeffe and Claude Monet.
