Participants and spectators at the Bellin Run this year could see an increased police presence and could be prohibited from carrying large bags or leaving bags unattended.

Those are some of the changes being considered for the June 8 event in response to this week's deadly bombings near the finish line of the Boston Marathon.

"You're going to see some changes," Bellin Run executive director Randy Van Straten said Wednesday. "Our No. 1 concern is for safety." ...
