She lives 1,200 miles from Boston, but Heidi Beller of Green Bay felt it was important to run Wednesday in support of people affected by the bombing at the Boston Marathon this week.

She was among an estimated 125 people from Northeastern who showed up at the weekly Bellin Run training event to show solidarity with those affected by the tragedy. Participants also were asked to donate to The One Fund, a fund for families of the Boston victims, who number three dead and more than 100 injured.
