Next April, City of Oconto residents will again have formal input on how the city operates.

The public will vote next spring in a referendum on the City Council's decision in January to give itself the authority to hire a city attorney, rather than approve a selection by the mayor.

Mayor Victoria Bostedt, who clashed with the council over the city attorney post in December and January, called the plan for a referendum "wonderful." ...
