Gov. Scott Walker's plans to expand the state's voucher school program to students in certain school districts drew condemnation and praise at a budget public input session Monday, hosted by state Sen. Joe Leibham and state Rep. Paul Tittl.
Walker's voucher proposal, included as part of his proposed 2013-15 budget released in February, would allow the program to grow beyond Milwaukee and Racine into school districts with a minimum of 4,000 students where at least two schools have received grades of D or F on new report cards.
