Mosinee teachers to get pay raises

Teachers, administrators and other Mosinee School District employees will receive their first salary increases in two years beginning in July.

The Mosinee School Board approved a 2 percent increase of the overall base salaries of employees, matching the consumer price index, which measures the costs of goods and services. The salary increase takes hold July 1.

Teachers each will be given flat increases of $1,015 per year, said Brent Zimmerman, the district's business manager, instead of basing the increases on a percentage of salaries. That formula was chosen, Zimmerman said, because ...
