County Board OKs employee pay plan

Wood County has a new wage plan, and all its workers will get a raise.

The plan, which the Wood County Board approved Tuesday, gives employees a 1 percent pay increase retroactive to January and then will place them in a pay structure developed by Carlson Dettmann Consulting by July. At that point, the plan will give employees a second 1 percent raise.

County Board member Donna Rozar, of Marshfield, made a motion to eliminate the two pay increases from the proposal. Her motion was defeated 15-4. ...
