Premium liquor coming to Plover

A new micro-distillery is on its way to Plover and is expected to produce top-shelf vodka, gin, whiskey and brandy.

Great Northern Distilling will take over the former Greg Ellious Motors building, 1740 Park Ave., near O'So Brewery Co. State and federal licensing for the building stands as a hurdle before bottling begins.

The face of the company will be Brian Cummins, who has had a career in the paper industry, most recently at Nekoosa Coated Products in process engineering, product development and marketing. ...
