? Ninth annual Chocolate Gala: "German Fest," 6:30-10:30 p.m., Farm Market Kitchen, Algoma. A night of good food, memories, live and silent auctions, and our fabulous chocolate dessert buffet. Tickets $25 per person, includes appetizers, live and silent auction and dessert buffet. Donations and proceeds benefit victims/survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

? Victoria Vox CD release concert: 7 p.m., Algoma Elementary School auditorium, 514 Fremont St., Algoma. $6. Vox is known for her "lip trumpet" and ukelele playing and fabulous singing. Proceeds to be donated to the Algoma Optimist Club youth activities.

"Animals and the Environment" presented at noon, 1:30 and 3 p.m. Learn about amphibians with Woodland Drunes naturalist; make a pine cone bird feeder at the Kaytee Learning Center; enjoy Story Time with Read Apple Bookstore; receive a free white spruce seedling.
