Improving the climate for local businesses through a proposed tax cut for middle-class wage earners was discussed Thursday during an event at the Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Middle-class tax reform combined with tax incentives for businesses will improve the state's economy, State Department of Revenue Secretary Richard G. Chandler told Marshfield businesses leaders about Gov. Scott Walker's tax reform initiative.
