Faith Perspective: 'My life flows on in endless song'

While participating in choir at the collegiate level, I learned a song that has a great deal of meaning to me. The words in part are as follows:

"My life flows on in endless song above Earth's lamentations. I hear the real though distant song that hails a new creation. No storm can shake my inmost calm, while to that rock I'm clinging. Since love is lord of heaven and earth, how can I keep from singing?"
