Trenton School celebrated at open house

Several hundred former students, teachers, school officials and Trenton community members celebrated "our school" during the open house at Trenton Elementary School on Sunday. The school will be closed at the end of this school year.

Though emotions were high, a sense of pride, accomplishment and a look toward the future could be sensed by all in attendance.

The Beaver Dam Unified School Board made the decision in 2012 to close the school in order to provide modern technology and meet the special needs of students while being mindful of economics. ...
