"Overwhelmed!" is the sentiment Kimberly Senior put on Facebook when she found out that "Disgraced," a play she'd directed, had won a Pulitzer Prize for playwright Ayad Akhtar.

Senior directed the play at Lincoln Center Theater 3 in New York. It's about a successful lawyer who is forced to consider why he has concealed his Pakistani Muslim heritage at a dinner party.

In her time at Peninsula Players, the Door County theater troupe, Senior directed Agatha Christie's "Murder on the Nile" and a stage adaptation of Aaron Sorkin's "A Few Good Men" before moving on to continue directing in Chicago. ...
