Travis Gross's predecessor at the Sheboygan County Historical Museum served 21 years as executive director. The director before that served 14 years.

Simple math tells you that Gross, who started his new job at the museum in February, is tradition-bound to stay 28 years and he has more than enough ideas to carry him that long.

Gross, 42, replaces Bob Harker at the helm of the museum, taking charge of the five-building campus and its staff dedicated to preserving and celebrating Sheboygan County's history. ...
