High school musicians head to state festival on optimistic note

Fond du Lac High School musicians and vocalists will join 32,000 students from around the state next weekend to test their musical mettle at the Wisconsin School Music Association's State Solo and Ensemble Festival.

For young musicians, the state music festival is on the same level as moving on to a state championship game for an athletic team, said Fond du Lac High School choral director Cory Schneider.
