Earth Day is Monday, but Green Bay school officials say they honor it - and preserve the bottom line - by conserving energy year-round.

Green Bay School District officials note it has saved about $10 million in the past decade by using energy-efficient light bulbs, turning off or dimming lights, maintaining heating and cooling systems and avoiding heavy energy use during peak times of the day, as well as other measures.
