Because of where she lives, Becky Brown can't be sure how she will be able to pay for care for her developmentally disabled daughter in the future.

Like all Brown County residents, Brown and her family are not currently eligible for coverage under Family Care, the state-administered long-term care system that is part of Medicaid. Family Care is available to the frail elderly as well as disabled residents of counties including Manitowoc and Outagamie, but not those in Brown and elsewhere in Northeastern Wisconsin. Brown and her family live in Brown County.
