A Democrat who served north central Wisconsin for four decades in the U.S. Congress and a folksinger who helped define 1960s protest music will share a Wausau stage next week.

Dave Obey and Peter Yarrow, of Peter, Paul and Mary will perform together at the UW Center for Civic Engagement on May 2. Their musical show will be a fundraiser to help develop the David R. Obey Civic Resource Center, which will help local residents gain access to Obey's working papers and learn more about how government works.
