Green Living Expo focuses on food, energy

Adults and children had fun learning about sustainable food and energy sources Saturday at the fourth annual Marshfield Green Living and Energy Expo at the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County.

More than 400 guests met with about 40 vendors by noon Saturday to discuss topics such as energy efficiency in the home, alternative energy sources, gardening and purchasing locally grown food.

"What we're really trying to get across to folks is being sustainable and using alternative energy are easy things they can put into everyday use," said expo chairman Marty Anderson. ...
