Healthy tap flows making up for a poor season last year, producers say

After one of the toughest seasons for maple syrup production in recent history last year, this season is shaping up to be one of the best.

Syrup producers say the same below-average temperatures that are holding back vegetation growth is helping keep taps flowing on maple trees.

And, the syrup makers say, what's coming out of those taps is stronger than usual. ...
