A Wausau man accused in the apparent homicide of a family friend has been charged with first-degree intentional homicide and two additional felonies.

Kou Thao, 26, made his initial appearance today in Marathon County Circuit Court and was ordered held on a $1 million cash bond.

In addition to the homicide charge, Thao is facing additional felony charges of hiding a corpse and possession of a firearm as a felon. He also is accused of dismembering the body of the victim, whose body parts were recovered at multiple locations in Milwaukee. ...
